Best Sushi night ever! I booked this restaurant to celebrate my birthday with my family. Great sushi: the rolls were amazing (pink lady and vulcano in particular), amazing dumplings and great ramen/noodles.The desserts were particularly tasty. On top of this, great good vale for money!

For unpretentious Japanese home-style cooking dishes and well made sushi that will not break the bank, Sushinoen is the real deal. Recommended.

I can quite honestly say that this is some of the best Japanese food I have ever eaten, including a lot of food actually in Japan. We are literally trying to agree a date to go back – and we NEVER go back.

The Butakakuni, which is a braised pork belly in soy sauce with yellow mustard was so rich and it was so soft that it almost dissolved in my mouth.

The first round of food was brought to the table: Butakakuni, Agedashi Tofu, Beef Tataki, White Tuna Carpaccio, Mixed Seaweed Salad, Shumai, and Chicken Gyoza. Honestly I would recommend it all, but it was the Butakakuni and the Agedashi Tofu that really had something special.

The vegetable and prawn tempura was perfect – crispy and virtually oil free just the way it should be.

I’d definitely recommend Sushinoen and would return there myself. You don’t have to pay silly prices for good food. Venture out from the City area just a little bit and you won’t be disappointed.

Great, friendly staff, good Japanese food (that tasted the way it would in Japan – harder than you think to find in London) and definitely a little gem in the East.

I loved how they projected Ghibli movies onto the wall or have polaroids of guests on another, it gives it a really homey feeling.

The popularity of Japanese food is set to continue and some of the best can be found at east London’s Sushinoen. Perched cross-legged at the table, we couldn’t fault this authentic dining experience. Everything from the black cod to the beef teriyaki was delicious and the staff were utterly charming.
